Shock and sadness can only begin to describe our emotions upon hearing the news of Scott Bloomquist’s passing. He earned his GOAT status a long time ago, and the skills and bravado that made him a legend were always on display at Eldora. His 12 victories between the Dream and World 100 are unmatched, along with the swagger he brought to every race he entered. To say Scott will be missed is a massive understatement. Our hearts go out to his family and all who knew Scott and appreciated his incredible talent. Eldora will always honor his legacy. Godspeed, Bloomer.

Scott Bloomquist was one of a kind, and he’s probably the smartest guy I’ve ever been around when it comes to dirt racing. What he could do behind the wheel of a racecar was matched by the ingenuity he put into building his racecars. He was a force on the track and off, with a personality as big as his list of accomplishments. He made dirt racing better with a presence that will be greatly missed.
