This weekend's #LetsRaceTwo doubleheader at Eldora has been called off. A combination of an extremely saturated grounds and an unfavorable forecast of up to two inches of rain between Thursday night and Saturday morning; parlayed with a new dirt surface has forced officials to cancel both nights of racing for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series. “Based on all the information we have gathered today, including current extreme saturation on the track and negative forecasts from our all of weather consultant resources, we made this difficult decision to cancel,” said Jerry Gappens, general manager of Eldora Speedway, which has received approximately 2 inches of rain since Sunday and is expecting another 2 inches by the weekend. “Hopefully, this early notice will help fans, teams, officials, and vendors reduce unnecessary travel costs.” Neither of the two nights will be made up this season as there were no realistic scheduling options open that worked for both traveling sanctioning bodies. NEXT UP: The next event on the Eldora calendar will be Family Fireworks Night by Casey's on Saturday, May 21. The event is highlighted by the NRA Sprints, DIRTcar Modifieds and Eldora Super Stocks. The evening is capped off with a giant fireworks spectacular. The World of Outlaws will be back for four consecutive nights of racing in July. That historic week is highlighted by Jokers Wild (Wed, July 13), the $100,000-to-win Historical Big One (Thur, July 14), The Knight Before (Fri, July 15), and the $175,000-to-win Kings Royal XXXIX (Sat, July 16). The World of Outlaws also open 4-Crown Nationals weekend with a one-night stand on Friday, September 23. The USAC Sprints will return as part of the 4-Crown Nationals on Saturday, September 24. Eldora Speedway displays a live feed from Timing and Scoring during most race events. The feed displays driver info, lap times, running order and more – in real time. There are several options for accessing this feed. Please choose the option best matches your current setup:
This free flash-based display updates in real-time as each car crosses the scoring loop. This feed works for most computers, but not phones or tablets. If you have difficulties viewing this feed, download the latest version of Adobe Flash or use the alternate timing & scoring display to the right.
This free non-flash display updates automatically every 30 seconds. This feed is generally compatible with most computers, phones and tablets.
