Press Release February 28, 2011 flooding around Eldora February 3, 2016 admin A big snow melt coupled with more than 3 inches of rain in roughly just 6 hours caused widespread flooding all across the area today. The Wabash Reservoir, located just south of Eldora, rose to record levels Monday afternoon and broke through the banking on its backside – causing water to gush down the hill and flow down past the outside of the backstretch wall. The high water level also is also causing water to flow backward through the drainage system and fill the pit area as the day goes on. Thankfully, the facility itself did not receive any damage from flood waters.
